At Canadian Spa Company, being part of the communities we serve means more to us than just business. When the opportunity came up to support a great cause right here in Atlantic Canada, we were glad to be involved.
About the Membertou Open
The Membertou Open Golf Tournament is an annual fundraiser held in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia that supports the Cape Breton University Athletic Department. Proceeds from the tournament go toward two meaningful causes:
- Student-athlete scholarships at Cape Breton University
- Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Charity, which helps underprivileged youth across Canada participate in sport
This year's tournament was a tremendous success, raising $60,000 in total. That's a result the organizers, participants, and sponsors should all be proud of.
Our Contribution
Canadian Spa Company was happy to donate a pizza oven as a door prize for the Opening Reception. Registered golf teams were notified in advance that door prizes would be up for grabs, with one catch: winners had to be present in person to claim them.
It made for a fun and lively evening, and we loved being part of the excitement.
Congratulations to the Winner
The pizza oven went home with Roy Mugford. Congratulations, Roy! We hope it gets plenty of use.

Canadian Spa Company has a showroom right here in Halifax, and supporting events and organizations across Atlantic Canada is something we're committed to. Whether it's helping student athletes pursue their goals or giving kids the chance to participate in sport, these are causes worth getting behind.
